Avoid Probate

Assets titled to a living trust will avoid the probate process upon the owner's death.

Probate is a lawyer's dream.  For generations, lawyers have made significant amounts of money handling probate cases.  Probate is essentially a court process wherein a judge oversees the administration of a decedent's estate.   The process can cost thousands of dollars and take months to complete.  Lawyers should instead be telling their clients the benefits of revocable living trusts as an alternative to wills.  Assets properly titled to a trust will by-pass the probate process and save your family money and avoid frustration.

At AvoidProbate™, we can help you put your home into a revocable living trust to avoid probate.  The trust also helps plan for any periods of incapacitation.  Every trust is run by a trustee.  In the beginning you (and your spouse) serve as the initial trustee.  At some point in the future, your selected successor trustee(s) will take over for you.  That will obviously happen upon death but also upon incapacitation which is a good thing.  Especially if you have friends and family members who you love and trust to name as your successor trustee.
