Meet the Founder Marc Gugliuzza

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gugliuzza spent more than 10 years working in the financial services industry, most recently as the branch manager of TD Waterhouse’s Michigan Avenue office. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Mr. Gugliuzza advised clients on achieving their financial goals.

Mr. Gugliuzza is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He then received a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree, with honors, from DePaul University before graduating, cum laude, from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He also completed several classes towards a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago (something he still hopes to finish one day).

While in law school, Mr. Gugliuzza was the student director of Loyola’s Federal Tax clinic and was the CALI Award Recipient in the Estate Planning, Estate and Gift Tax, Federal Tax Clinic, and Advanced Legal Research courses (the CALI Award is given for the highest grade in a class).  Following law school, Mr. Gugliuzza joined the firm of Spain, Spain & Varnet, P.C. in Chicago where he concentrated his practice in the fields of estate planning, disability law, real estate law and general probate.  In 2006, shortly after the birth of his first son, he decided to start his own firm.

Mr. Gugliuzza is a member of the DuPage County Estate Planning Council, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Hawaii State Bar Association, the Maui County Bar Association, and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association.  He is also a Certified Financial Planner®
